I love the contrasting colors of this 8" penny rug . . .it is done in the old fashioned style of "penny coins" . . .just so pretty . . .space in the center will take a display base of up to 2 3/4"  . . .makes a thoughtful Valentine's Day gift paired with a little glass jar of chocolate hearts or a small jar candle . . .the center is a 100% cotton in a red homespun check. . .this has been hand appliqued to an ivory felted wool felt in a color called "fresh linen" . . .this sits on a beautiful silver gray felted wool felt and mat is backed with this  . . .there are 10 double layered penny coins in a gorgeous barn red felted wool felt. . .these are stitched securely to the center . . .each is topped with an ivory colored coin and then a double layered heart in silver/gray and barn red . . .each is topped with a red Czech crystal sparkle bead . . .beautiful quality handmade item and always prettier in person . . .my own design and done entirely by hand by me. . .please see my excellent feedback for penny rugs and quilts - many wonderful and LOVED repeat buyers who keep me stitching
