    Description

Antique SEWING ITEM -- WICKER CHAIR PIN CUSHION -- was likely produced in the early part of the 1900s. This early piece measures approximately 4 inches tall and 4 inches wide. The pin cushion is made of wicker, that has been woven into the shape of a chair, with a soft fabric-covered cushion, in which pins could be stuck during sewing. It is all original, as far as I can see. Please refer to the attached images for more information on size, construction, and condition. Overall condition: Solid VG/VG+..... The pin cushion has general signs of use and handling expected for its age, including: soiling, fading, surface wear and a few minor dings/bends on the wicker-work. However, there are no major flaws, and overall, this unusual item will display very well. ***************************************** PLEASE NOTE: I am NOT an expert on vintage sewing items. My mom -- Nancy Moran -- was a longtime collector and she especially loved sewing memorabilia and antique buttons. She is downsizing, so my brother and I am helping her sell some of her collections. (You can find the items my brother is listing at sellmomsstuff1). But I am not completely familiar with all the terminology and intricacies of her collecting specialties. I try to use various notes she left with items to describe them to the best of my ability, but understand that any terms I use in describing these items, may not be terms I am familiar or experience with. So please use the attached images to form your own opinions. I am also not knowledgeable on the hobby criteria in condition grading -- so I use my condition grades in a commonsense manner -- as if grading any collectible -- they are not based on any specific hobby standards. Please contact me if you have specific questions, and I will answer them as best I can. PLEASE SEE OUR OTHER LISTINGS FOR MORE WONDERFUL VINTAGE SEWING ITEMS, ANTIQUE BUTTONS, AND OTHER COLLECTIBLES.
