VISCONTI CARAVEL PINTA LIMITED EDITION FOUNTAIN PEN #378/500. In 1992 Visconti created a special limited edition to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the discovery of America. The limited edition consisted of a set of three celluloid pens, in three different colours; each of them was dedicated to one of the three ships that Columbus used to sail the ocean. The pens were called: Nina (light blue), Pinta (striped brown) and Santa Maria (purple); Visconti produced 500 pieces for each colour. The top of each color cap displays the name of the pen. All are piston type, have gold plated clips and accents, and are basically of the "Ragtime" style. This pen is in excellent condition. Never used The nib is a MEDIUM size tip in two-tone 14k gold. It is equipped with a piston filling system. Closed pen length: 5.31 inches (13.50 cm) This pen comes with a box (the box is VISCONTI but it is not its original), travel inkwell with solid ink pads.
