    Description

This Japanese Fisherman is very interesting.  He is dressed straw covered costume with his fishing pole in one hand and his catch in the other.  He is 10 3/4 inches tall, made of bisque or clay but I do not know.  He really is interesting and would be a great addition to a collection.  Please look at the pictures!!
    FYI:
This information was borrowed from an old listing. I hope they don't mind.
"My father brought this little fisherman sculpture back from Japan around 1959, and it may have been second-hand at that time. It’s not unlike the Hakata Urasaki clay figures, or it could be that pearly oyster shell Gofun material. I don’t know! His hat looks like papier maché, anyway, the outside layer finished with some kind of leafy material. He has a pole, and a fish."
Doll stands are for display only unless otherwise stated.
I appreciate your looking at my auction and good luck with your bidding.
