Includes a “Tourguide” street map of central Washington (from Gulf/Rand McNally, 1971); an official tourist handbook of Mount Vernon, the home of George Washington (from the Mount Vernon Ladies’ Association of the Union, 1968); a foldout brochure of Mount Vernon (from the Mount Vernon Ladies’ Association of the Union, 1970); and a tourist handbook for the Custis-Lee Mansion (now called Arlington House, the Robert E. Lee Memorial), the home of the Confederate general, located within Arlington National Cemetery (which was built on the estate of Lee’s wife, Martha Custis-Lee, the granddaughter of Martha Washington) (from the National Park Service, 1962).
