    Description

This is an original brochure entitled "While in Virginia, Visit Historic Gadsby's Tavern".
The front cover shows a sketch of the Tavern's Front Entrance, and mentions that "from here George Washington made his last military appearance on November 5, 1798".  It is also listed as the current home (at that time, at least; not sure about now) of American Legion Post 24 in Alexandria, VA.
Inside is a description of the Tavern and its history.
The back cover shows a sketch of the Tavern's front facade, gives more information about the American Legion meetings, and provides an address to write to for a replica copy of The Declaration Of Independence, on parchment paper, for .25.
There is no copyright date or printing date that I could find, so I don't know the exact age.  However, some quick online research indicates that the American Legion gave the buildings to the City of Alexandria in 1972, so this brochure was printed sometime before that happened.  I've listed it as a 1972 brochure, but it is probably older.
When folded up, this brochure measures approximately 4" x 11".
It is in Very Good condition, with no markings or tears.  However, it was folded in half (from top-to-bottom) at one point, and that crease remains as visible in the photos.
If you don't already have this item, it will be a fun addition to your vintage American Legion and/or Virginia travel collection!
