    Description

Vintage 1940/50s F.E. Olds Ambassador Trombone with Case L056
This Trombone is marked "F.E. Olds Ambassador Trombone Los Angles Calif." The serial number on the slide lock is 53571 with a "49" stamped on the main slide lock. Those numbers dates it to late 40s or early 50s. Research indicates it is all brass because of the serial number. The silver plated mouth piece is marked "Olds 3." It also has the music holder (Lyre) and attaching arm.
This early Ambassador has a reputation which indicates it is build sturdy for the rigors of marching bands and high school students. I do not know this Trombone's specific history.

I am not a Trombone player but I can make some interesting sounds with this instrument; my playing makes our dog cock his head back and forth in amazement and the neighbors barking dogs run for cover. I'll leave its sweet music, cleaning, and polishing to the new owner.
