    Description

Here is a beautiful Victorian brass sewing bird pin cushion, patented February 15, 1853.  These were used in hand sewing and were clamped to the table with the C clamp base.  This one is in its original finish, never cleaned so the patina is wonderful.  The top pin cushion is not there, but the
remnants of the larger one is still there.  Both the C clamp and the spring to open the birds mouth work fine.  It measures 5 1/2" long with the screw extended and it's 4" wide.  I've included lots of photos so you can see everything about this great piece of Victorian sewing memorabilia.
