    Description

    Getting tougher to find this horn in such good condition, excellent condition especially for the age of the horn.  This is the earlier George Roberts model without the in slide tuning.  Serial number is #617702 indicating that it was produced in the latter part of 1967.  This horn has been played but NOT abused.  Selling because I have three of them!  Please see photos for lacquer wear, finish blemishes, etc...  Slide is GREAT - 10 out of 10 with no wear on the inner tubes.  The rotor is clean and operates perfectly.  This horn has a wide open sound throughout the range of the instrument, great big sound with the trigger!  The horn has no case, but I will put it in an old ProTec case and include that to protect the horn during shipping.  The case is in excellent shape aside from an issue with the zipper at one end of the case.  It is fully functional, a new zipper would make it like new - included for free...

    Hard to find Olds
    George Roberts Model Single Valve Bass Trombone.  Has 9" Red brass bell with nickel silver rotor/traditional wrap.  Hand slide is .565 bore with LT nickel outer hand slide.  This classic model is ideal for big band and commercial play.  It has a great big sound and a more responsive trigger than most new configurations.  The horn blows wide open through the valve!  Horn plays super easy.  Handslide is fantastic.  Everything about this instrument is gorgeous and warm.  A seriously great horn for a professional player or horn collector.
