This hand colored glass slide is an ORIGINAL and it is NOT a reproduction. It was created to be projected onto the movie theatre screen before the film was released to promote the "coming attraction". Some people in the movie collectible world have said, that, glass slides are much rarer than the paper poster memorabilia from the same film and are very rare pieces of film history.

Plot Summary:
Wealthy publisher Britt Reid (Henry Hull) and his trusted Asian servant (Keye Kuke) disguise themselves as the super-hero The Green Hornet and his faithful servant Kato as they battle the growing power of a ruthless secret crime organization that deals with foreign powers. The identity of the syndicate's leader remains a mystery.
Trivia
:
When the radio series first premiered in 1936, Kato was Japanese, but by 1939 when the serials were shot, he was referred to as Korean. From 1941 to 1945, he became Filipino on the radio series.
Rackets taken on by the Green Hornet and run by Crogan's crime syndicate include, in roughly chronological order: attempted murder, lotteries, munition production for a 'foreign power'; impersonation of an heiress, sabotage of an electrical company, smuggling guns across a border, secret development of an anti-aircraft bomb at a steel factory, kidnapping of a scientist, taking an heiress hostage to extort money from her, sabotage in the building construction industry, truck hijacking, car thefts in aid of procuring a special type of motor, arson perpetrated as part of an insurance fraud scheme, and the export of explosives to a foreign power.
L.A-From the Original 1940 Universal Pressbook message to the theatrical exhibitors: "IMPORTANT! Unless special permission is secured from the King-Trendle Broadcasting Coprpration, Stroh Bldg., Detroit, Michigan, exhibitors do not have the right to impersonate "The Green Hornet" through use of costumed bally-man or actor.
The background music often uses Schubert's Unfinished Symphony (as it is in the Smurfs). It also frequently employs Mendelssohn's Incidental Music to A Midsummer's Night Dream. As the Green Hornet and Kato prepare for a mission, the music quotes the opening bars of Dukas' Sorcerer's Apprentice.
The Green Hornet's car 'Black Beauty', is a 1937 Lincoln Zephyr with custom painted front and rear fenders.
The Green Hornet is a fictional masked crime-fighting superhero created in 1936 by George W. Trendle and Fran Striker, with input from radio director James Jewell. Was on radio and film and TV. The Green Hornet TV series in the 1960s, which starred Van Williams and Bruce Lee.
