    Description

Tanzanite Platinum over Sterling Silver ring size 10 and pendant with chain 20" TGW 1.79 cts.
This elegant set of jewels captures the essence of the truth that fashion fades, but style is eternal. The set comprises a ring and a pendant with a 20-inch matinee chain. Tanzanite is a blue-violet variety of the mineral zoisite and is a thousand times rarer than diamonds. Its colors vary from deep, dark royal blue with flashes of red to light cornflower or periwinkle blue. The gem is considered December's birthstone. With the split shank and bale are softly contoured, the pieces are decorated with faceted rounds and ovals of tanzanite. Furnished in sterling silver with platinum finish. Natural properties of mined gemstones offer a slight difference in color saturation, hue, and tone. Gemstone images may not always capture these slight differences.

    Where Tanzanite comes from:
Tanzanite is the blue and violet variety, caused by small amounts of vanadium. The gemstone was discovered in the Mererani Hills of Manyara Region in Northern Tanzania, near the city of Arusha and
    Mount Kilimanjaro.
    Tanzanite value:
Tanzanite is a rare gemstone with growing popularity. Not only is it beautiful, it is an investment. Tanzanite continues to go up in value.
In my research I have learned that the lighter colors come from the beginning of the mines, while the darker shades come from further within the mines. The values for Tanzanite range from 0 to 5 for 1 carat and 0 to 0 for 2 carats(depending on cut, clarity, single stone versus multiple stones, etc.)
The Est. Retail Value listed below come from suppliers for retail prices toward their sales. The gemstones go through so many processes before they get to the retailers (such as mining, buyers, cutters, polishers, distributors, stores, etc.)
While I would love to keep every single piece for myself, I know this is an unrealistic and selfish wish. Therefore Iam passing on some of these precious gems that will grow in value for you, thatwill enhance your beauty, and perhaps one day be passed on to future generations once the mines are depleted.
If I am able to get a good deal on an item I will pass the savings onto you.

Tanzanite is at a GLOBAL SHORTAGE!
    Is tanzanite a precious gemstone?
Absolutely!  Traditionally, a gemstone must have three important traits to be classified as precious: beauty, rarity and durability.  Tanzanite possesses both beauty and durability, and is
more than one thousand times rarer than a diamond
.  Tanzanite is therefore precious in every sense of the word.
Why tanzanite is called one-generation stone?
With tanzanite’s single source and limited supply, it is believed that at the current rate of mining,  there is somewhere between 12 and 15 more years of tanzanite left in the ground.  Despite the numbers, it is believed that beyond OUR generation, there will be no more tanzanite and the buyers of today are the last of the first time buyers of this precious gemstone. Anybody beyond our generation will have to be lucky enough to inherit tanzanite!
