    ought to be from the Showa 8 period of Japanese history.

    The piece is finely detailed and colorful with axle and wheels that rotate.
    Bright colors show Mt. Fuji floating above Japanese flowers, trees and buildings on the back of the rickshaw and shapes are carved onto the back of the driver (Coolie). The passenger is a finely dressed lady (geisha?) who may at one time may have held a parasol. The driver is detailed as well with brightly colored pants and vest and silver Coolie hat.
