Replica of the Bristol Virginia/Tennessee State Line Street Marker

$ 21.12

Availability: 100 in stock

Description

This is a reproduction of the original brass markers in the center of State Street in Bristol, Virginia/Tennessee. The inscription on the underside reads,
An exact replica of the original State Street marker placed there in the late ‘30’s.
The name

Bristol” was viewed up side down from the Tennessee side, therefore, they were removed then replaced without the city name.
The markers remain in the center of State Street from Pennsylvania Ave. to Commonwealth Ave, dividing the twin city of Bristol, Tennessee and Virginia.
Below that is the name, address and phone number of the maker: Old Dominion Buckle Co.
It appears to be designed to be a paperweight and is 3
⅝”
x 1¾” and 3/16” thick.
Lo
ok carefully at the photos because they are part of the description.
It was donated by an estate
to a charity thrift shop at which I do volunteer work, including selling on eBay those items which would not readily attract in-store buyers.
