These nipples appear to be military grade.  The nipple is 1-1/4" diameter with no taper, but there is a raised rib around the periphery to help secure the hose in place.  The flanged face has a 1-1/2" diameter raised circular section of about 0.20" high.  This can be filed or machined off, if desired, or the nipple could be installed on a face that has a 1-1/2" bore.
You will never find a higher quality part for your lowly player piano or nickelodeon!!
