This hand colored glass slide is an ORIGINAL and it is NOT a reproduction. It was created to be projected onto the movie theatre screen before the film was released to promote the "coming attraction". Some people in the movie collectible world have said, that, glass slides are much rarer than the paper poster memorabilia from the same film and are very rare pieces of film history.

Plot Summary:
The Mesquiteers are supposedly losing cattle to a bear from the adjoining National park. But the culprits are the Dawson clan who kill the cattle and use Davey's pet bear to leave tracks. When Davey breaks his leg, they find a crutch mark along with the bear tracks and head after the Dawson's.

Ray "Crash" Corrigan (born Raymond Benitz; February 14, 1902 – August 10, 1976) was an American actor most famous for appearing in many B-Western movies (among these the
Three Mesquiteers
and
Range Busters
film series). He also was a stuntman and frequently acted as silver screen gorillas using his own gorilla costumes.
In 1937, Corrigan purchased land in the Santa Susana Mountains foothills in Simi Valley and developed it into a movie ranch called "
Corriganville
". The movie ranch was used for location filming in film serials, feature films, and television shows, as well as for the performance of live western shows for tourists. Bob Hope later bought the ranch in 1966 and renamed it "
Hopetown
". It is now a Regional Park and nature preserve.

Max Terhune (February 12, 1891 – June 5, 1973) was an American film actor born in Franklin, Indiana. He appeared in nearly 70 films, mostly B-westerns, between 1936 and 1956. Among these, Terhune starred in the
Three Mesquiteers
and
Range Busters
series.
Besides being a ventriloquist, whistler and animal imitator, Terhune was a magician. Card tricks were his forte, and he often performed such in his movies. His former vaudeville act included juggling, bird calls and barnyard animal impressions, talents also incorporated into his sidekick roles. His hands doubled for those of Clark Gable in "The King and Four Queens" in 1956. He performed on occasion at The Magic Castle in Hollywood. (Source: Audio interview: Max Terhune 1971)

Yakima Canutt was a stuntman, director, actor, and rodeo rider from the 1910s to the 1970s. Canutt worked closely with
John Wayne
, doubling as his stuntman and also teaching him how to do his own stunts. Some of his movies include: Hidden Valley Outlaws, Shadows on the Sage, and
Gone With the Wind
. When he was in charge of the stunts on a movie, he was called the "second unit director". His son, Joe Canutt became a major stuntman as well, and his dad directed his stunts in
Ben-Hur
in 1959, including those in the famous chariot race. He passed away in 1986 at the age of 90.
