This is a very cool sword in which I know very little.  The detailing on the sword is just amazing.  But time has not been kind to this sword.  The blade is very brittle and has broken into three pieces.  The junction of the blade and handle is damaged to the point where they no longer stay together.  The scabbard is also broken into two pieces as well as the scabbard collar that has separated.
All that being said, there are some very nice features.  There is etching/engraving on the blade that looks quite old.  All brass elements are highly detailed.  The handle is made out of some type of natural material that I suppose could be bone.  There is also a brass (?) elephant figure at the base of the handle.  I know it seems obvious but because of the damaged nature of this item, it is being sold for parts / repair.
