Here is a terrific Earl Williams Model 8 trombone made in Donelson Tennessee.
After Earl WIlliams and his son Bob passed away, the shop was operated out of Donelson Tennesee for a while, and it produced some very nice instruments. What you see here is an Donelson Earl Williams model 8 (bronze?) bell built on a Bach 42B slide and valveset. The result is a bore size that is larger than usually seen in Williams horns but plays with a rich, full sound, immediate response and great dynamic range. The trigger register is particularly good, but this horn also has a singing high register - everything that Williams afficianados love about these instruments. Condition is excellent, slide is near perfect, and this horn is a great instrument for symphonic or studio work.
