    Description

Up for sale is a very unique sterling silver Edwardian mourning locket.  Made by the Breadner Manufacturing Co. Ltd.  This business was founded in 1903 by Samuel Breadner in Hull, Quebec, Canada. It was a jewelry company when it was first founded, however as time passed Sam's son Jack turned it into a transistor radio company during the war in 1947.  Beautifully done piece and engraved "DGH".  The locket has two sides to it for a photo and a lock of someones hair.  The locket is 2 7/8" long and 1 7/8" wide at its widest point.  The locket had a cabochon opening at one time and a clip for a chain.  The locket can be opened by sticking something like a knife or file near the top and popping it open.  Other than that, I have had no luck opening it.  The weight is 47.6 grams. This is not a new item.  Do not view it as such.  Look at all photos as they are part of the description. If this has a Best Offer, serious offers only please.  I provide fast economical shipping on this item.
