Redesigned F attachment
For the 88HNV, Conn reimagined the open-wrap F attachment. This model’s F attachment fits within the main bell yet retains the free-blowing feel and balance of a non-attachment horn. The Conn 88HNV has a 0.547-inch primary bore that widens to a roomy 0.562 inches in the F attachment. With its larger bore and open-wrap design, this trombone eliminates playing resistance. What results from the dual-bore design is a playing experience that few other symphonic trombones can hope to match. The C.G. Conn 88HNV has a tapered rotor valve with a 1-piece mechanical linkage for solid and reliable triggering throughout the instrument’s life.
