    Slide moves well even dry as it is now; with a good wash and/or sonic bath and slide grease or oil, I predict it wuold improve a lot more.
    The finish is that nice gold, or cinnamon like colored lacquer as seen in the photos. And the horn has an elaborate design on the bell which is sharp and clear. Inscription reads: The Buescher True Tone Elkhart Ind. And the slide inscription reads: Buescher True Tone LP 404 and the serial# is 310169 which places the horn to a date of 1946 according to the list of surviving Buescher instruments of which I took a picture (last image). There you can see this Trombone listed there with the same serial #.
