    Description

Bach 42G Stradivarius Straight Tenor Trombone!
Up for grabs is a Bach 42G straight .547, large-bore tenor trombone from the early-80's, very near to the early-Elkhart production era. The serial number is 47xxx, which puts it at about 1981. If you are looking for a straight 42 for a valve project or just as a straight option, this is a great opportunity. If you're looking to add a gold brass bell to your stable, this is a great opportunity. The straight horn has always been a perfect tool for solo repertoire or chamber ensembles that ideally require lighter equipment, and this is certainly an exceptional example.
This trombone has the typical, popular Bach sound with an added benefit of ease through the partials and great color thanks to the gold bell.
Absolutely no modifications or major repairs - it's still original from the Elkhart factory.
This 42G belongs to a professional trombonist (of a major symphony orchestra in the States) and professor - simply thinning his quiver of instruments.
    PLEASE NOTE:
Mouthpiece NOT included. Instrument will be shipped with an older Bach case.
    CONDITION:
The trombone has received zero trauma greater than one minor ding on the bell. The finish is lacquered gold brass bell with yellow brass slide - zero modifications or repairs - original from factory in 1981. There are a few random blemishes with the finish, specifically on one of the posts of the bell and random spots on the slide - nothing out of the ordinary for its age - actually in exceptional condition considering its age of 40 years.
There is nothing wrong or compromised with this example - simply looking to clear out some of the stable of instruments.
