Antique SPENCER LENS CO BUFFALO N.Y. Scientific Instrument Microscope With Slides.
Up for sale is a super rare antique ~ SPENCER LENS CO. ~ Scientific instrument, we are not entirely sure of its purpose or how its operated but item does provided an interesting little metal plaque that reads ‘Spencer Lens Co. Buffalo N.Y.’, after some research we established Spencer Lens co. to be primarily a microscope manufacturer. On one side of the box is a clasp and hinges, indicating a lid, unlocked and opened we found an array of scientific type tools, we found a set of tweezers, a pair of small scissors, a razor, a stick like tool with a sharp point and 5 glass slides, 2 appear to have been unused and 3 of which have specimens on them, one of which is damaged. The wooden box shows a crackle paint finish, has a mirror on the angle and a removable glass lens above the mirror and above that a metal circular scope shaped piece. Condition overall is good, box does show wear to the wood along one edge please see detailed pictures for a further look at condition and details. Box Measures 10” x 3” x 4”
