This listing is for an antique nude porcelain pincushion half doll. Made in Germany
PRISTINE condition. No chips, cracks or repairs. An absolutely stunning piece which comes from my private collection.
This half doll is considered a Medium sized half doll. She is 3.25 inches tall.
She is an "arms-away" Art Deco style half doll.
She has her hair cut in a short bob Flapper style and it has been painted with high quality Gold Gilt.
Her facial features have been beautifully hand painted. Her hands are done with a great amount of detail.
She wears a necklace around her neck painted an orange red color.
She is incised with the numerals 12550 on the back of her base.
She is unmarked but I believe she was manufactured by Fasold & Stauch.

This half doll comes from my private collection.
She has been in my family for a very long time. My Grandmother was a very serious collector of half dolls and I inherited the love for them as well. My Grandmother had duplicates of so many simply because over the years as she collected and her collection grew and grew, she tended to forget what she owned. I think her reasoning on this was "when it doubt....buy and when I get home I will find out". LOL She could never part with them, even if she already had the same half doll. She kept them all. :)
Once she purchased or in many cases was gifted a half doll she didn't get rid of it. She was a master seamstress and often times she would make them into a pincushion if she had duplicates. Many she used in her sewing room. I am thinning out the collection as I have no way to display them all. Many have been packed away in steamer trunks and these beauties are far too pretty to not be seen and enjoyed.
This doll has been lovingly cared for and comes from a smoke free home.
The porcelain is of the finest quality and the workman ship is first class on this elegant half doll.
She is in PRISTINE condition.
