For sale is a really nice antique microscope by Bausch and Lomb. It is mostly brass with a cast iron base. The tag on the base is marked Bausch and Lomb optical company Rochester New York. Sauver and Boylston Cambridge USA. 72962 B – L with Z S in a triangle. The Sauveur and Boylston microscopes were used for metallurgic / metallographic work with ore samples and in mining work. The top of the fine-tuning adjustment is Marked - Pat.Feb. 16, 1897. The eyepiece is marked Ernst Leitz Wetzlar. The objective is marked Spencer Lens Co. 32 mm. This piece is in good condition and works nicely. It is missing it's reflector mirror at the bottom. A great antique Bosch and Lomb microscope for your collection.
