Description
We offer for your consideration this Antique Bausch & Lomb microscope.The number on this microscope is 34310, we have seen B&L numbers in the 38000s that date a scope to around 1901. This microscope may have produced in the late 1890s or near the turn of the last century.
It features a pivoting base and two objective lenses, 2/3rds and 1/6th.
It is however, missing the reflective mirror, and one of the slide clips.
The optics are in decent condition.
This scope stands approximately 12 inches tall, when in a stored position. The footprint of steel black enameled base measures approximately 3 3/4 inches wide by 5 1/4 deep and 3/4 of an inch tall. This is a heavy duty microscope weighing approximately 5 pounds.
The gross focus and the fine focus knobs move freely, and the objective lens pivot moves freely as well.
