    Description

    Antique Autopiano upright player.
This 88-note piano has a 65-note player mechanism, which is not installed at this time.
The previous owner began to restore and refinish this piano, removing the player mechanism for restoration work on the instrument itself. The exterior of the piano had it's black finish stripped off, revealing that it was made of oak. Plans to finish the oak with clear varnish were abandoned when it was discovered that the front half of the "column" keyboard supports were made of olive wood, which could not be made to match the rest of the oak case.
So the case was given an "artificial woodgrain" finish, the player mechanism was boxed up and the piano "completed" as a non-player.
This was it's condition when I purchased it. The player mechanism had suffered some damage and some small parts were lost, but I was going to restore it.
So here it is up for sale; I never got very far on the repairs to the player mechanism. It has been in storage since I moved 3 years ago and I would like to stop paying for the storage. Several 65-note piano rolls are included (some may be player harmonium rolls).
It is a working piano without it's player mechanism, which is included. While in storage something was spilled on the top, but did not run down any side and is not visible except from above. (I don't know what it was.)
You may arrange for a piano mover to come and pick it up. I have no way to lift it and will not attempt to do so.
This is your opportunity to have an antique upright piano--just come and get it.
