Up for sale is a Lyric Tenor Trombone.  It was sold to me as a 1940's Roth Lyric Trombone.  I have spent much time trying to confirm the manufacture and date, but have not been successful.  **Update: a fellow ebayer has provided the following information...
This is actually a stencil of the American Triumph Trombone made by Harry Pedler & Sons, vintage circa 1950.
This has slide bore .485/.485, with a 7" diameter bell flare.  The serial number on the horn is #515xx, with matching numbers on the slide.  It is made of yellow brass with a nickel water key and accent on the slide lock. I tried to take a good picture of the attractive engraving, but the picture doesn't do it justice.
There are light small scratches throughout and various dings on the bell.  There is light pitting throughout. The slide action is good, but has a 'grabbing' in 7th position. There is good compression and minor wear on one stocking with no ill effect on the action. There is a slight residual whisper due to cleaning and honing of the slides that should improve with play and use.
This instrument is not lacquered; therefore, this instrument may have to be polished periodically (we recommend using Weiman METAL Polish)
. This trombone comes with a mouthpiece(may not be the one pictured) and a brand new gig bag.
