Description
145 NAILS (6 LBS) VINTAGE 20d TREMONT SQUARE CUT ROSE HEAD MASONRY NAIL SPIKES 4 INCHES LONGPhotos do not show all 145 nails.
I found these original and unused Tremont Nails in an old barn which was being razed in southern Nebraska over 20 years ago.
These nails are all NOS and hardened
for nailing into masonry.
Some rust.
Heat-treating cut nails and are ideal for nailing furring strips to cinder block, mortar joints, new concrete, and other brick walls.
Also used for face-nailing hardwood flooring. These nails are hardened in standard finish.
These nails are made on original 19th century and early 20th century Tremont nail machines, which may lead to variation in head shape and very slight
differences in nail length. Manufactured in Mansfield Massachusetts.
Cut nails possess great durability.
They are hard to pull out because the shape causes the wood fibers to push downward and wedge against the nails, greatly strengthening the
holding power. Once you have used them you will prefer to use them for all of your projects.
